Founded in 1893 as a Friends School, George School offers a broad curriculum including AP, ESL, and the International Baccalaureate Program. World renowned, the IB diploma is a rigorous two-year course of study. A yearlong course in fine or performing arts is required of all students each year. Forty seven percent of the students receive $6.1 million in financial aid, and four $15,000 merit-based Anderson Scholarships are awarded annually. Quaker values such as tolerance, equality, and social justice create a diverse community where academics, sports, arts, and service learning share emphasis.
