Great Oaks Elementary School is a private. Non-denominational Christian school situated in East Flatbush, a multi-cultural, multi-socio-economic community.It was established to provide a well-rounded elementary education to the many students who will enter its doors. While it neither subscribes to nor condones discrimination of any ethnic group. Its primary focus is African American youth. It recognizes the role we each play in shaping society, and seeks to enrich its own by providing its future leaders with a solid foundation of Christian moral principles and a thorough education in the prescribed academic subjects, with emphasis on high scholastic achievement. Great Oaks' program comprises a positive blend of both traditional and contemporary methods of training young people. It fosters a warm and pleasant atmosphere conducive to learning. However. the school believes that parental attitude towards a child's education is a key factor in that student's progress.
