Saint Bernard School was founded in 1964 and initially staffed by the Sisters of Mercy. Now, dedicated lay women and men offer a quality education to our students. Our education centers on Catholic principles. We offer a God-centered, faith filled learning environment. We follow New York State curriculum. In addition, we meet or exceed all New York State Learning Standards. All grades exceed the national percentile on standardized tests. Our students do well on the mandated New York State tests in grades 4, 5, and 8. In addition we offer many extra-curricular activities as well as an extended care program. Our students range from three year olds in our Junior Pre-Kindergarten Program to adolescents in grade 8. A Saint Bernard education enriches the lives of our students. It prepares them to be faith-filled productive members of the twenty-first century world.
