Small class sizes, Advanced Placement, honors & authentic college classes are offered. A distinguishing feature is the shared campus with Saint John's University, a private liberal arts college. Students take authentic college classes and access many of the university's facilities and the 2700 acres of woods/lakes. New facilities include a science wing. A 26,000 sq ft music and classroom wing opened in the 2008-09 year.
