Sandy Spring Friends School offers a college-preparatory curriculum, including Advanced Placement courses, as well as art and athletic programs. SSFS also has an International Student Program that offers ESL courses ranging from beginning to advanced. The pastoral 140-acre campus includes 15 main buildings and lies between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. The Intersession Program at SSFS includes trips to Italy, Morocco, France, and many states within the U.S. A Quaker school with a student/teacher ratio of 8:1, SSFS values each person and seeks to nurture personal and social responsibility.
